Glutamate uptake is important for osmoregulation and survival in the rice pathogen Burkholderia glumae
Bacteria exhibit an optimal growth rate in culture media with sufficient nutrients at an optimal temperature and pH. In addition, the concentration of solutes plays a critical role in bacterial growth and survival. Glutamate is known to be a major anionic solute involved in osmoregulation and the bacterial cell's response to changes in solute concentration. To determine how glutamate uptake is ...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Broad-Spectrum Antifungal Bacterium Burkholderia gladioli Strain NGJ1, Isolated from Healthy Rice Seeds
We report here the draft genome sequence of Burkholderia gladioli strain NGJ1. The strain was isolated from healthy rice seeds and exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity against several agriculturally important pathogens, including Rhizoctonia solani, Magnaporthe oryzae, Venturia inaequalis, and Fusarium oxysporum.

The present study was conducted to explore the endophytic fungi that colonize the inner tissues of medicinal plant Mimusops elengi L. Out of 100 plant segments of both leaves and twigs of Mimusops elengi...
متن کاملFirst report of Neocosmospora vasinfecta isolated from uncultivated soil in Iran
Neocosmospora E.F. Smith is a filamentous ascomycete fungal genus belong to Hypocreales order and contains several species mainly pathogenic for plants (Cannon & Hawksworth 1982). Species of Neocosmospora are known to live in the soil of tropical or subtropical areas and often in association with plant roots. During summer 2017, for isolation of Fusarium species from uncultivated soil (foothill...
